Task: Georgia Tech MARC approached EchoViz to 3D model a series of manufacturing machines -- some of which were conceptual -- for use in short animation sequences to describe how a proposed manufacturing line may function.

The models were created in MAYA and exported into standard formats for future use by a variety of 3D software packages. Once the machines were modeled, they were rendered in 3D as still images (JPGs) as well as QuickTime MOV files. The animations were 20-30 seconds in duration and were designed for endless looping. While not intended to be photo-realistic, the animated robotics were realistic in speed, range of motion and appearance. Additionally, the functionality of the manufacturing line was accurately depicted.
